Jo Carson, a WAND board member, former AR legislator and friend, rolled out the red carpet in Fort Smith. She invited me to speak to her Communications class at the University about "Last Best Chance." In this photo Jo is instructing the class on their assignment to study and report on a global issue.
Jo and I went out after her class for Cajun food at a wonderful little place in downtown Fort Smith called Landry's. The food was tasty and the music great, provided by these three jazz players (l to rt.), Steve, Mike and Quinn (Jo's son).
The Arkansas WAND board invited me to join their Friday board meeeting. These great women are making a difference, working hard to raise awareness and action among Arkansans on issues of peace and justice. (l to rt.)
